SBELIH invites you to attend the seventh installment of our Community Health Education Series. Approximately 49 million Americans are 65 and older, with projections estimating that the population of older adults will grow to 98 million in 2060. For most older adults, good health ensures independence, security, and productivity as they age. Unfortunately, millions struggle every day with challenges such as chronic diseases, falls, physical inactivity, oral health concerns, and behavioral health issues—all of which can severely impact quality of life.

Vision problems and mental health issues both weigh heavily on many older Americans. Join us as we take a closer look at the risk factors, effects, and ways to prevent vision problems, Alzheimer’s and dementia, and depression in older Americans.
