Spring has sprung on the North Fork! The snowdrops and daffodils are shooting through the soil. The ospreys are back in their nests and our snowbirds are returning home.
With over 180 people in attendance at our Founders Award event on March 30th, some may argue that everyone is already here! This year’s honoree, Margaret Cowden, conducted the beloved Narrow River Singers who gave a one-time performance for all attendees to enjoy and remember. As a special treat, we had a tap dancer gave us a little soft shoe!
One of the songs performed by the NRS was, For Good from the show Wicked. The lyrics are relevant to how I feel about NFWFWF. “Who can say if I’ve been changed for the better? But because I knew you I have been changed for good.” While listening to the song, I was thinking that we were all once strangers until we joined NFWFWF. Now we are friends helping friends and because of NFWFWF we are forever changed. It was a memorable night with a very special group of people. Thank you to everyone who attended and made it possible.
On behalf of the NFWFWF board, thank you for your ongoing support. We are truly grateful. The women of NFWFWF are just a phone call away. If you need assistance or seek volunteer opportunities, please contact us via email.
